Just wait until you see the before photos of this completely reimagined space! We demolished the wall between the kitchen + dining, radically opened up the dining room to the stairway + extended the kitchen to pack some big storage into a small space! There are some major statement pieces in this kitchen, like the gorgeous corner hood + light blue island, but I’m seriously starry-eyed for all the brass fixtures that will be sprinkled throughout!
Katie Acorn Pendant in Antique Brass w/ Clear Shade, Quantity: 2
Glass pendants are key to making a kitchen feel more open. I love this unique take on a standard globe pendant.
Don’t forget these clear glass bulbs. They’re a soft white, bright [but dimmable] + pretty!
Sunwashed Riveria Swivel Counter Stool in Natural, Quantity: 3
My clients plan to use a similar tone for their window treatments, making these stools an obvious choice. The swivel feature makes getting in + out much easier on a small island. Optional non-swivel model HERE.
*Increase quantity to 4 if you’d like the option to pull up an extra stool if you have company!*
Large Mission Drawer Pull in Aged Brass, Quantity: Varies By Size
I always recommend sizing your pulls per drawer-front. It can look silly having a 3″ pull on a 9″ cabinet + a 24″ cabinet. Varying pull sizes gives a kitchen a custom look!
6″pull: 2
8″pull: 8
12″ pull: 4
Ball Cabinet Knob in Aged Brass
Quantity: 17
One of my favorite styles! These will be installed on all doors.
I updated the hardware sizing so you can see the scale!
With hints of golds + light blues, plus the option to throw it in the wash, this rug for the sink area couldn’t be a better fit. See below to select which size you prefer: 2×3 or 3×5.
I also love these options: Cordoba Rug in Blue Sage [3×5] + Caseville Rug in Multiple Color [2.5×4].
Simplice Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet in Vibrant Moderne Brushed Brass
Thanks to COVID, quality brass kitchen plumbing is extremely difficult to obtain in a whole suite. Thankfully, this pretty model is in stock!
Whitehaven 29″ Apron-Front Sink in White
This apron-front is my ultimate go-to. The self-trimming feature makes install a breeze + the offset drain is so much better for interior storage!
Garbage Disposal Button in Brushed Gold
Kohler does not manufacture garbage disposal buttons, but this brand claims that their brushed gold finish was formulated to match Kohler’s!
Garbage Disposal Flange/Stopper in Vibrant Moderne Brushed Brass
If you have a white sink with a brass faucet, always choose a brass sink strainer, or flange/stopper for garbage disposals. It’s the small details that are always the most stunning!
Clairette Soap Dispenser in Vibrant Moderne Brushed Brass
I think this soap dispenser looks great paired with the Simplice faucet. Another option is this Contemporary Soap Dispenser in the same finish.
**Will update this section more soon!*
I always recommend paneling appliances adjacent to a white apron-front sink. In this design, the dishwasher blends right in with the cabinetry allowing the sink to make it’s own statement.
I’m pumped we were able to make proper wine storage work in this kitchen! This wine cooler comfortably fits 34 bottles in a 15″ frame!
I designed a wall microwave cubby in this kitchen, but I wanted my clients to still be able to use the counterspace below. Enter my holy grail micro: it only needs 13″ of depth + is still 1.1 cu. ft. with a turntable!
Perimeter: Crystal Cabinetry Full-Overlay in “Simply White” [Accolade Door]
With the island being a cool blue + warm tones everywhere else, a crisp white felt perfect for the perimeter cabinetry.
Island: Crystal Cabinetry Full-Overlay in “Waterfall” [Accolade Door]
I’m not gonna lie… I’m getting real tired of the white perimeter + navy island combo. But this LIGHT BLUE is all types of different + beautiful!
Silestone Calacatta Gold Quartz 3cm
With all of the brass details in this kitchen, we wanted a material that had a subtle warm veining with a bright white base to pair well with the cabinetry. This quartz will be installed on the island, perimeter + backsplash, including the amazing niche behind the range!
Oak Hardwood
Hardwood will be ran throughout the kitchen to match the surrounding rooms. I alwayssss recommend color-correcting the hardwood to a neutral beigey-brown like this, instead of leaving it as the existing orangey-yellow tone seen in most homes.
Benjamin Moore Collingwood in Matte or Eggshell
This color is so calming + the perfect light neutral for a newly open-concept kitchen! I can’t say for sure since I haven’t seen the large sample in the room yet, but I’ll take a look when I’m over on Friday for the cabinet delivery!
That’s all for today! What do you think? I can’t wait to see this space completed!
